At once voluptuous and dynamic, our epic diamond pendant earrings will unleash your inner flapper.
Platinum, the metal of choice for the era’s jewelers, creates an elegant, monochromatic color scheme to better flaunt the whiteness of the mille grain-set diamonds. Each earrings brandishes seventy-six rose-cut diamonds and thirty-two European diamonds. Two diamond links hang from the stylized foliate surmount and flare into a kite-shaped silhouette. The central motif consists of curvilinear scroll forms surrounded by tiny chains of diamonds that move independently and drape beautifully. A cushion-cut diamond swings from a web-like thread of platinum filigree. Five pear-shaped drops of graduating size dangle below.
The backs of the earrings are impeccably constructed and almost as lovely as the front. Note the original hexagonal stud fittings, which would have provided the necessary security for the flapper lifestyle. More importantly, they created an unobtrusive view of the newly exposed ear lobe, a crucial design element for the emancipated women of the lost generation whose cropped hair—à la garconne—created a new erogenous zone. Earrings were now anointed as the most essential form of jewelry and remain here to stay. Flappers are forever.
