19th-Century Iberian Diamond Earrings

18th-Century Iberian Diamond Earrings

Dreamy pendeloque earrings from the Iberian Peninsula featuring table-cut and rose-cut diamonds in closed-back settings. Four articulated sections create maximum movement (read shimmy and shake). Their shape combines the characteristic elegant length of the pendeloque form, with a three-drop motif borrowed from the girandole design of the eighteenth century. As typical of the period, the diamonds are set in silver over gold to better show off their whiteness and shimmer.
